Tag Rugby is non-contact version of the game that is suitable for boys and girls.  Our mini’s section starts from reception year at school up to year 1. When they reach year 2 at school they will automatically move into the Under 7’s team and play matches against other local teams.

 Aims and Objectives

Our philosophy is to develop new players so they learn to enjoy Tag Rugby while also developing their skills of team spirit and sportsmanship. But most of all we want them to have fun and enjoy playing Tag Rugby.

 Training

This is every Sunday morning 10.30am – 11.30am at the Evesham Rugby Club located at the Avon Sports Club (Please refer to the website for directions)

 Evesham Rugby Kit

This consists of a blue and claret Rugby shirt, blue shorts and blue and claret striped socks.  A small amount of kit is available to be purchased from the “kit shop” available most Sundays from the club or from Birdseye Sports in Evesham.  We do have a limited amount of second hand kit and again this can be purchased from the “kit Shop”.

Children will be required to wear studs when the ground is wet. You may not need to buy these as some are available to borrow or swap.

Please ensure that your child has the appropriate clothes with them and a drink, as we train come rain or shine!

 Membership

The rugby season runs from the 1^st September through to 31^st April.  Refer to the Membership age for details of membership.
